Twin Curved Balcony Railings
Project Overview
Two stacked curved balcony railings installed on the bowed bays of a dark horizontal-sided home.
Analysis
Both balconies bow outward, so each rail was rolled to the same radius and stacked so the curves align exactly when seen from the street.
Process
Template both bays, fabrication, powder coat, install in one mobilization, and final alignment of the stacked curves.
Outcome
Two matching curved railings that follow the bowed bays precisely and read as a single architectural detail.

Materials Used
Black powder-coated aluminum curved top and bottom rails with vertical picket infill, formed posts, and anchors into the balcony fascia.
Methods & Techniques
Each radius templated separately, rails rolled and welded in the shop, pickets set out on the curve for even spacing, then anchored at the fascia.
