Project Overview
Hot-dip galvanized steel handrails installed on both sides of the concrete entry steps at a retail building, built for weather exposure and heavy daily traffic.
Analysis
Retail entries take constant use and full weather. Galvanized steel was specified instead of a coated finish so the rails can be left unfinished with no repaint cycle.
Process
Site measure, fabrication, galvanizing, installation during off-hours, and a final stability check.
Outcome
A maintenance-free, code-height handrail set that will not rust at a high-traffic commercial entrance.

Posts anchored at the top and bottom of the run, rails pitched to the steps, and all field cuts coated with a galvanizing repair compound.
